Associate Director:
• MD with 0-3 years of drug development experience, preferably in big pharma
• Degree from a prestigious university
• A record of successful drug development activities
• A record of strong scientific accomplishments, including publications and talks
• A thorough understanding of small molecule drug development
• Knowledge of regulatory activities, experience with IND filings is preferred
• Experience in pain, inflammation a plus, but not required


Director:
• MD with 5+ years of drug development experience with a focus on small molecule drug development
• Big Pharma training in drug development
• Degree from prestigious university
• A record of successful drug development activities
• A record of strong scientific accomplishments, including publications and talks
• A thorough understanding of small molecule drug development
• Knowledge of regulatory activities, experience with IND and NDA filings is preferred.
• Experience in pain and inflammation.


Description:
These positions are responsible for directing the activities of Drug Development Clinical Science, including understanding the scientific, clinical and commercial opportunities for new products, helping lead a team to determine the best clinical development plan, designing clinical trials, and interpreting all relevant data from internal and external sources. They will propose and implement strategies for compound development; find and use key opinion leaders and clinical investigators to further development goals. They will become a part of Business Development activities, with a focus on examination of drugs in clinical development. These individuals will attend critical scientific and non-scientific meetings, to represent as needed.
These physician scientists will manage the activities within a therapeutic area — either oncology or pain and inflammation. Prior experience in one of these therapeutic areas is highly desirable, although for well qualified candidates drug development experience in other areas may suffice.
